These bars are ideal for anyone looking to use more natural products on their body and hair, and those who are looking to reduce the waste in their bathrooms. Shampoo bars don't contain any of the synthetic ingredients found in commercial shampoo and are free from silicone, sulfates and any chemical that may leach from the packaging. Solid shampoo is best used in conjunction with an acidic rinse like an apple cider vinegar rinse or the Barn Cat Hair Rinse. Each bar is approximately 3.5 oz and should last anywhere from 30-40 washes. Shampoo bars are available in Herbal (lavender\/peppermint), Tropical (fruity, tropical scent), ACV (made with apple cider vinegar and scented with oatmeal, milk and honey fragrance), and Sativa, unscented, and made with Natural Hemp Seed Oil.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTips \u0026amp; Tricks: \u003cbr\u003e - There is an adjustment period with solid shampoo, your scalp is getting used to not having your natural oils stripped as with commercial shampoo. This adjustment may be as quick as a couple days, up to a week or so. Stick it out! \u003cbr\u003e- Only wash your hair every other day or even less. Over time you will find the sweet spot for you and your water type \u003cbr\u003e- Brush your hair before washing to help reduce tangles \u003cbr\u003e- Wash your hair by either running the bar from root to tip, or lathering the soap in your hand and then washing as usual \u003cbr\u003e- You will notice a squeaky clean feeling, this is normal! \u003cbr\u003e- Every few washes (or more if you have hard water) use an acidic rinse to close the hair follicles and smooth texture \u003cbr\u003e- Mix 1 tsp to 1 tbl of Barn Cat hair rinse with 16ish oz of warm water OR mix 1\/8 to 1\/4 cup of apple cider vinegar with 16ish oz of warm water \u003cbr\u003e- After washing and rinsing thoroughly, step out of the water of the shower and pour your hair rinse over your clean hair. Let the rinse sit for 1 minute and then rinse again well \u003cbr\u003e- Everyone is different, you may need to experiment with your washing and rinsing frequency to find what's best for you\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e*Note from Diana: we have VERY HARD water in our house. I have found that washing with the shampoo bar every other day to every three days with a fairly diluted rinse each time works best for me and my hair. Additionally work the oil into the eyelids, and around the face to remove makeup. Massage your skin for 15-20 seconds. Follow-up with with a warm to hot wash cloth, gently placed over the skin and allow the steam to penetrate your skin. After this brief steam, wipe away the excess oil and makeup. After you've wiped the excess oil away, if you notice you want a little extra moisture, place 1-2 drops on the tips of your fingers and massage into the skin.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn testing some customers did notice that while their face adjusts to the oil cleansing method, you may experience breakouts.
